Increase Your Conversions And You Increase Your Profits

No matter what home business or network marketing business you may be a part of, there is one skill you can always refine.  That skill my friend, is marketing.   The better marketer you become, the more you can earn.  The better you are able to convey the value of your product or service in the market place, the more you can earn.

One of the key activities in marketing is advertising.  Advertising allows you to get your message out to the market place for your potential leads and prospects to see.  You can advertise online or offline, it really does not matter.  What does matter is how well your ads are converting and how many people who see your ads are becoming leads.  In order to get the most from your ads you have to test to see what types of ads convert higher than others.  It’s a shame, because the majority of home business owners have no clue how to market, yet alone know the first thing about crafting high converting ads.

Over the next few minutes I would like to cover the basic elements of your ads and how you can refine them to convert many people into leads and paying customers.  We will cover the headline, body copy and call to action.  The location of your ad is not relevant.  It may be on the internet, in the yellow pages or in a newspaper.  These tips I’m about to share with you, if implemented can dramatically increase the effectiveness of your ads.

1.  The Headline

The headline is by far the most important element of your ad.  It sets the foundation for the rest of your ad and can be the determination between someone becoming a lead or just another reader.  In the headline you need to address a series of factors:

  • Focus on eliminating a pain your prospect is going through
  • Focus on how your prospect can attain pleasure through your product or service
  • Think of the most selfish and targeted keywords that would speak directly to your prospect
  • Make your prospect feel as if this ad was designed especially for them

2.  Body Copy

This is the section of your ad that elaborates on the headline.  Inside the body you must list the benefits that your prospect will receive from using your product or service.  It is important to emphasize value over price.  If what you are offering can solve a problem of your prospect, price will usually not matter.

3.  Call To Action

This is the part of your ad that will direct your reader to the next step.  Believe it or not, most advertisement omit a call to action, which decreases the amount of people that will actually respond.  Your call to action can be a number of things including:

  • A website address
  • Phone number to call
  • Address
  • Any other means of contact

If your prospect has read up until the call to action they will more than likely respond.

Using these three elements is the basis for a solid ad.  The best advice I can give you is to focus solely on your potential prospects and identifying their needs.  Get inside their head and provide a solution for their problems.  And always make sure you test, test, test!
