So there has been a lot of discussion over the last few years about whether offline lead generation or online lead generation is more effective. Honestly both approaches will allow you to grow your business, however, generating MLM leads online is more leveraged and is more automated. In this post you are going to discover some simple ways you can generate MLM leads online without having to go through trial and error problems.
What You Will Need:
1. Website / Landing Page – This will be the first area your leads come to in your marketing funnel. You DO NOT want to send your leads directly to your MLM company’s replicated website. Everyone else is doing this and there will be no way for you to stand out from your competition. A landing page will be used instead to get your leads attention. We’ll discuss this more later on.
2. Automatic Follow-Up – The greatest thing about the internet is that it is always open and running. This automatic follow-up process is designed for you to communicate with your leads and build a relationship with them. This can be accomplished using an auto-responder which is a web service that stores and manages your leads and can send out emails to them at intervals of your choosing. (This is so much easier than trying to do 10 presentations a day!)
3. Marketing In Place - This is how you will drive traffic to your landing page and have these visitors opt-in to the page. There are a multitude of ways to market online and we’ll cover a few in this post including both free and paid marketing.

Marketing is the skill, if I had to recommend one, that you get good at if you intend to become successful online. If you can market well, you can sell your company’s products and sponsor new distributors easy and effortlessly.
Paid: Paid marketing methods include banners, e-zine ads, buying leads and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. Paid advertising is great because you can get traffic to your landing page very quickly. If I had to recommend any paid marketing approach that is the most effective it will absolutely be PPC.

Free: Free marketing methods are a dime a dozen, but these take a little longer to implement. Some examples of free marketing would be to participate in forums, write articles and content, video marketing, social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc), blogging and writing press releases.

You will have to make the determination of using paid or free marketing. Or you can use both, the decision is up to you. After you decide where you want to market you will now have to target your market. Who exactly are you targeting? If you are trying to generate MLM leads then you want to focus on other network marketers and people looking at network marketing. These are by far your highest quality leads.
As a good marketer you will have to determine what your potential leads want and give it to them. Perform keyword research and discover what people are searching for. The free Google Keyword Tool is an excellent resource to find what your target market is searching for.
Your Landing Page – This component has one purpose. To obtain the contact information of your lead such as their name, email address and a phone number (optional). But your leads are not just going to submit their information without something in return. You have to offer something free to your lead in return for their contact information. This could be a free eBook, video series or maybe a free coaching session with you. The point is the landing page will not work unless you have some of value to give away.
