So, to begin, WHY even become a leader? Well there are leaders and followers out there in the world. Believe it or not, there are a lot more followers than leaders. Most followers would rather be told what to do rather than tell someone what to do. There are hundreds if not thousands of people out there just waiting for you to lead them. Become a leader and they will follow. This is what the ultra successful in network marketing have done. You see, it doesn’t matter about the company they are in because if anything ever did happen to that particular company this leader has a list of followers who will be this leader no matter what. This is how someone can join a new company, and within hours, have a downline in the thousands. When you become a leader you will possess a magnetic quality about yourself that attracts people no matter how hard they try to resist!
So HOW do you become a leader? The simple answer is to do the things that most people are not willing to do. Below I have created a list of simple suggestions you can start implementing right away to become a leader quickly:
- Start to hold yourself accountable for your actions (all leaders do)
- Begin to surround yourself with people who already have what you want
- Engulf your mind with empowering material (books, videos, training, etc.)
- Add more value to yourself by learning the skills that no one else will (i.e. marketing, lead generation, etc.)
- Commit to a long term vision and be consistent
- Give back as much value as you can to your leads, customers and prospects
- Take care of your body (exercise, diet, sleep, etc.)
- Face your biggest fears (this is key)
These suggestions may seem simple, but really ask yourself how many of them you are actually implementing into your own life on a daily basis. The only way you will become a leader is through consistent action.
So what does leadership do for your business including the leads you generate, quality of prospects you have and the people that join your business? Leadership is a quality you cannot put a price on and is the number one thing that your best prospects are looking for. No one really cares about companies, founders or compensations plans. What they do care about is finding someone who can help them achieve a feeling. And that feeling is freedom, whether it be time or financial freedom. Network marketing is an industry that sells dreams, not overpriced juices and travel packages. Become a leader and help people get what they want and you can have ANYTHING you want.

All you have to do in order to increase your value is add value to yourself. This can be as simple as learning some marketing strategy that works or learning how to sponsor prospects. Think of what your prospects want and need, learn it and give it back to them.
While you are adding more value to yourself and transitioning into a leader you will begin to notice a paradigm shift occur inside. What this basically means is that you will gradually change as a person and grow into someone who is worthy of ultra success. This can and will only occur when you become a leader. The last and final thought I can leave you with is to NEVER QUIT! Whatever you do, never let excuses hold you back from achieving everything you are worth and deserve.
