Well, it’s the 4th of July weekend. Time to fire up the grills, soak in the pool and light those fireworks! But before you start enjoying the festivities, let me ask you a few questions…
Do you know what separates the winners from the losers in network marketing? Do you know what separates the big checks from the little checks in this industry? The answer is NOT MAKING EXCUSES!
So why did I want to write this blog post today? Because the majority of you will be taking off this weekend, forgetting about your business, and then wonder why you are not experiencing the results you want. Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t spend time with your family, of course not. But what I am saying is that don’t use a holiday as an excuse to procrastinate or forget about your business. Building a successful business in network marketing, or any business in free enterprise for that matter, takes work and dedication. If it was so easy, everyone would be millionaires. But it’s not!
You have to decide something right now. Are you willing to be persistent and do whatever it takes to create the income you desire? Or, will you conform like the rest of the people who never seem to make it and just follow the herd? I hope that you make the right decision, because it can determine just how successful you can become.
So on this 4th of July weekend don’t put off your responsibility to your business. Make those calls, market those websites and keep going. The 7 and 8 figure annual earners we see in our industry worked hard to earn their respective income, and they even worked on holidays. Have fun this weekend and cherish the time spent with loved ones, but don’t neglect your business. Even I’ll be marketing over the next few days!
Yours In Success!

Hey Ray,
That's awesome you are doing work at the fire house. I have a great deal of respect for all that you guys do. As far as getting social media tags on your website you have a lot of different options. Go to your 'plug-ins' section and type in “social media tags” and see what comes up. Also you can do some searches on Google. For a good social bookmarker you can use ShareThis or OnlyWire. Hope this helps Ray. Take care.
Hey Joey,
Just found you on Twitter. You are right on target with this piece. We all need some fun, but mixing in some business without being obvious/annoying is OK. Forgetting to ask for a phone number, or not connecting with people about “them” verbally would be a mistake…just talk during fun times – then follow up on Monday:) Cheers! – Steve
