When it comes to the MLM industry and the internet, it always seems as if someone or a group of people claim they have the best MLM lead system. Supposedly these systems do all of the work for you, are totally automated and you don’t have to lift a finger. Well my friends, if you ever see a claim that you don’t have to lift a finger, I have one recommendation for you: RUN! The main purpose of a lead system is not to do all the work for you, rather to automate some of the processes involved with online lead generation. The internet is without a doubt, the best place to generate your own high quality, laser targeted leads for your MLM business and this is where the help of a well built lead system can help you.
Over the last five years there has been an influx of new systems that have popped up all over the place. These systems are mainly used as a feeder program for another company or a business opportunity. Without mentioning any names, what most of these companies are doing now are creating systems where their members just advertise, getting people to go through the system, and supposedly the system does the rest of the work. The only problem with this is saturation. Before you know it, there are thousands of people advertising the same system and pretty soon it begins to lose it’s effectiveness. This has been the downfall of most online systems out there. However, there have been a few organizations that have created systems that have stood the test of time and have adapted to the rapid change of the ever growing internet.
A great MLM lead system, from personal experience, needs to have the following elements in place:
High Converting, Customizable Landing Pages
One of the first places that you will send your visitors is to your landing page. This is the place where you offer something of value to the visitor in exchange for his or her contact information. These visitors are now considered leads. With most systems all of these landing pages looked the same. You can imagine how long this would last. That is why it is important to have these landing pages customizable. Not every member wants to market the same page. You want to be able to change the copy, color, size and font type. You also want to add pictures, videos or any other type of media suitable for your page. Personal branding is important as well. By being able to customize your landing page you can brand your own name, which is one of the most critical steps if you intend on growing your MLM business using online strategies.
Automatic Follow-Up
This is another very critical element. One of the best ways to create and sustain a relationship with your leads is over constant communication. Your lead system should have a follow up process in place after the visitor opts in to your page as a lead. This can be accomplished through the use of an auto responder. This is a web service that manages your database of subscribers and can send out messages at intervals of your choosing. The follow up process should continue to give value to your lead, possibly promote related affiliate products and tie in your business opportunity.
Integrated Sponsoring
This is the element of the MLM lead system that is going to help you sponsor more people with less effort. The system generates the lead, builds a relationship with the leads and then promotes your opportunity. If the system converts high enough, you will see many of your leads join your direct team. They join because you have positioned yourself as a leader, gave them value and possibly they will have the opportunity to use the same system. Done correctly you can have rapid duplication within your team. Sponsoring in this fashion also allows your members to build their business more efficiently. The primary activity they have to focus on is marketing. Compare this to bugging your friends and family, passing out fliers, cold calling and prospecting strangers.
