When someone tells you how gigantic the Earth is, you may have to disagree. If you live in the United States, China is only a click away. If you live in Africa, Canada is only a click away. Get the point? Technology is giving us the power to do things we would have never imagined 10 years ago.
The main point that Bob is trying to convey here is keep learning. You’re direct result of money you earn is proportiante with how much you know and are worth. Never stop learning.
