I was sitting at my desk today doing my normal routine (calling leads, marketing, etc.) and a question surfaced that I haven’t heard in a long time. The question was ‘why do we do it?‘ More specifically, why do we join these network marketing companies and go through all of this struggle and frustration? Because I know for most people, and even including you, that the journey to success in this industry is a hard one. The reason we go through all this pain can be for a number of reasons such as financial independence, time freedom, spending more time with our family and friends or just the concept of residual income. Whatever reason you choose, make sure that it is the right reason. By doing this you will have clearly defined your purpose and this will push you through any and all obstacles that come your way.
Because lets face it-we all want to live a certain lifestyle. The main problem is, most people will never do what it takes and remain victims of conformity and the 9-5 work week. If you are currently in the network marketing industry and want a major change in your life and your bank account you will need to do one thing. Yes I said it, ONE THING! And that thing is to continually work on yourself more than your business. See what areas you need to develop and do it. FACE YOUR FEARS. Never take no for an answer. Master the required skills you need for this kind of business.
So now that we have that straight, let me ask you a few questions that I want you to take very seriously and answer honestly.
- What is the number one area of your business you need help with?
- Are you devoting enough time each day to your business?
- Are you treating your business like a real business?
- Do you have a coach or mentor to guide you?
- Do you have a long term vision for where you want your business to be in a year?
- Are you willing to invest in yourself every single day?
These questions might seem basic, but really dig deep and answer them truthfully. Are you doing everything you can to make progress in your MLM business, or are you just treating it like a hobby, not holding yourself responsible and blaming other people and circumstances for your failures?
The most important thing you need to do is take a good look at your life right now. Is this where you want to be in a year? If not, be sure to create a vision that is stronger than anything else you have ever believed and place 100% faith into that vision. If you are willing to stop at nothing to succeed in your business, than you absolutely can have anything you want. This type of business can create a life for you that most people can only dream of. Don’t let it pass you by. Now is the time! Stop procrastinating and making excuses! Get out there and make it happen.
